Cat Behaviour

With the UK cat population currently standing at approximately 8.5 million and 18% of households in the UK owning at least one cat, it is fair to say that the popularity of cats as household pets has increased.

However, despite more and more people choosing cats as suitable household pets, thousands of cats are surrendered to rescue centres each year. Unfortunately, these relinquishments are often related to behaviour problems, with owners previously reporting that they are unable to build a bond with their cat due to a behaviour problem or that a problematic behaviour has become too unbearable to live with.

In most cases providing owners with appropriate advice, guidance and support from a professional and fully qualified Animal Behaviourist means behaviour problems can be solved and rectified. In turn, allowing the bond between cat and owner to strengthen and potentially reduce the number of cats finding themselves in rescue centres due to problematic behaviour.

At Let’s Talk Paws we are fully qualified to deal with behaviour problems in cats. We focus on understanding the underlying cause of the problematic behaviour, allowing us to then work alongside owners to manage and treat the behaviour problem and make living with your cat both manageable and enjoyable.

Let’s Talk Paws can help with a range of cat behaviour problems including:
